Objekt PS, the first satellite sent to space before the Universal Century. PS stands for Prosteishiy Sputnik. Crudely translated, it means ‘Basic Satellite’.Prosteishiy means ‘change in trajectory’ or ‘beginning’.
Sputnik means ‘An Orbiting Companion’.

Since work can be rather incosistent, please be patient with me when we write.Mariana Prosteishiy Sputnik is a character made with primarily the Gundam Universal Century verse in mind.Mari goes by she/her and is a trans woman whom is diagnosed with BPD and PTSD. Hailing from a frigid Research Colony, Mari has gone on a long journey which has gone from the far away colonies in Zeon, to the darkest corners of the Federation. Occupation: A MS pilot and soldier of the Sleeves. Used for Special Operations.Appearance: Mari is in decent shape, due her flying in a transformable suit that requires Stamina due to the forces pushed on the body. She cares little for the dress code, often wearing the uniform only very casually. Her hair is thick and curly, with grey eyes that have an olive hue that feel like they can see ride through you.Her most prominent feature are the stitches across her body. These come from her Cyber Enhancements.Personality: Mari often shows a somewhat rash and cold attitude with a nihilistic outlook on life. However, deep down she believes in the ability of humanity. What holds back this belief is her self perception, which she projects onto everyone.Mari always persues succes, and is quite blunt often sharing what is on her mind. Despite her cold appearance, she can be quite caring.At her core, she is contradiction itself.Abilities/Training: During the Gryphs War, Mari was taken away from Anaheim Electronics Industrial College and among the first to be turned into a Cyber Newtype. As a result, she can control psycommu waves and has enhanced senses.Whilst trained in basic physical combat, basic firearms training, this is not her speciality. Her true calling is piloting. Piloting the Messala through the Gryphs Conflict, Mari honed fine piloting skills.Her one core flaw is that she pilots as if programmed, making her predictable to the aces of aces. A product of her prior mentioned complex. However, it is also her greatest strenght: She will analyse situations and pilots, and then form a plan she will follow to the letter, often leading to consistent results but also a great capacity in seeing ''weakness''.

Early years

Research Colony 5. Also known as the winter colony, due its famously, often broken climate control leading to long winters. A closed type colony, all the people get is a artificial project of space. Under these circumstances, M. Prosteishiy Sputnik was born on October 4. Growing up in the company of a loving family, she was raised into a child that was lover of the arts, humanity and most of all, the stars. As far as the history of her family traced, they were obsessed with space. Which eventually landed their Ancestors on Side 3, to aid in the creation of a society solely made out of spacenoids.The entire colony revolved around the research centre in the middle of it. The colony had but few schools, and was slightly more sparse in population then other colonies of Side 3. Despite the complications of the time, Mari her initial years were of little conflict. She was regarded as the ''odd one out'' but she hardly cared.
However, in UC79 both her parents were sent off to earth for Mobile Suit maintenance and piloting. As the war came to an end and the Spacenoids retreated to Side 3, Mari stood waiting for parents that would never come back. Both engineers had become infantry as numbers had dwindled over the course of the desperate conflict, resulting in their premature death despite the promise of a safe posting far away from the frontline, both had given their lives for Zeon.As the Principality disarmed and transitioned into the Republic of Zeon, Mari was moved off to Sweetwater. During the journey, she refused to look at the stars she had yearned for.In Sweetwater, she would continue her education under the care of foster parents whom at the time she did not value. The two of them were a older couple, who lost their child in the war, and were happy to take in Mari who loved them deep down. Going into her teens, she was diagnosed with gender dysphoria. Publicly transitioning as she entered her late teens, the sudden shift resulted in ridicule among her peers and Mari became a social outcast. Living in the rich area of Sweetwater, close to the Psycommu Research Institute she grew up relatively cushy for the remainder of her young years.Growing rebelious due to the ridicule she faced for her origins and indentity she became increasingly rebelious in a otherwise spotless corner of society.
This further made her cast herself out. None the less, she held onto her ''Endless Hope''.
A believe she inherited from her (first) mother. Where no matter what, she would dream of ''hope''. Of the stars which she had yet to see.Despite the hardship, Mari was able to enter the Mobile Suit Development wing of the Anaheim Electronics Industrial College. Thanks to her (second) parents.

The Titans

In AEIC, she performed quite well: Whilst not great at physics or science, she had engineering down and was especially promising as a test pilot despite being a Old Type. Put into Mobile Suit development, where she was primarily a test pilot and was taught engineering. Especially good with technology, Mari specialised in making personalised interfaces for other pilots.
In the simulations, she was one of the top performers in mock mobile suit duels. Mari her somewhat extravegant nature made her fit in with others in college. Rather than being a outcast on her own, she had some friends now to be ''outcasts'' and rebelious with. These days would form some of the brighter corners of her memories.However, the winds of war came rolling in once more, as the Titans would make their rise for power. During UC87, The Titans took a multitude of test pilots and scientists off the regular AEIC program, and instead into a program specifically for their own needs. Mari, a test pilot who had shown great results in mock battles, was one of the people taken. Under Jamitov Hymen’s regime, there was little regard for Mari’s safety due to her being a spacenoid thus ‘expandable’ by the viewpoint of a Titans. On top of that, she was a Oldtype which they had overlooked thanks to her simulator performance scores.However, this made her a prime test subject as she was expendable yet a skilled pilot. She was taken to the Titans' test facilities where she was among the first group of people to be made into a Cyber Newtype. With many of her organs replaced, including her once limited eyesight was now a thing of the past as they replaced them. Mari no longer recognised the girl in the mirror. Scars had formed across her body from the surgeries, her eyes weren't hers. The organs she felt inside were but intruders. But with rigerous indoctrination protocols and medication she eventually became the pilot the Titans needed late into the war.Under code name 'Sea Wasp' she would operate the PMX-000 Messala for the last months of the conflict. Accepting grim reality in order to survive, she became nobody. Someone who ran from her feelings by going through the motions. Each order, was just another step closer to the end. Her indifference had made her forget all the faces she once cared about, and back home she was assumed dead. But no matter how much she tried to push away the feelings, she wanted to escape.At the height of her despair, she met Paptimus Scirroco who had come by to oversee the project as the Titans had been counting severe losses including losses off a failed escape attempt she herself was involved in. Expecting punishment, he instead would offer Sea Wasp words of affinity and acknowledgement, hiding his true nature. This lie however saved her from falling to despair.
But as news spread of his true goals, and that the words that had saved her were a lie, her belief system finally broke leading to her ‘contradiction’. Whilst her Endless Hope was what saved her, she simply could no longer believe in humanity.Fortunately, the Gryps Conflict came to an end in UC88, and she was reunited with old friends at Anaheim and her adoptive family. This was not however without numerous trials that lasted through age 16 to 17. Eventually, she was let go due to the judge deeming her a victim and a great help to the Federation by offering them a prestine MS made by the enemy. But by then, the damage to her adoptive family its reputation, and her own had already been done. She once again felt like an outcast.Mari had lost her taste for piloting throughout that time. Her time in the sims had become a emotionless afair of getting data. And slowly, but surely she casted herself away from everyone. When she finished college, she did not recognise the faces of those who had cheered her on. The people she once called friends. She continued to be a test pilot, as if programmed for only that purpose.

Neo Zeon

As the first Neo Zeon War came to an end, she returned to Sweetwater where Zeon sentiments had grown massively over the years of her absence. Her parents, members of the Federation had moved to Industrial 7 for their own safety. But she continued to come back due to the memorial for Zeon soldiers that had been placed. Remembering the dream of her parents, of her own, she knew what to do. The Federation had brought her nothing but grief, then scars and now stripped her from community. But there was a guiding star out there. Neo Zeon.She returned to AEIC where she had been studying for her masters. But she did not want to fight for a future for a flag that had abused her time and time again. Stealing the first MS she could find, she shot off into the stars. Back to where it began. Zeon.Joining the Zeon Remnants, she was quickly assigned the Bawoo due to her experience with transforming suits and her being a Cyber Newtype. Albeit combat was not relevant till the First Neo Zeon war, she had been flying the suit in patrols and occasionaly dealt with independent forces such as the Titan Remnants and pirates keeping her skill sharp.During the first Neo Zeon War she became a true 'ace' and was a feared pilot. During Axis, she was taken out of combat by the White Devil, but managed to eject the 'Attacker' of the Bawoo. When the Axis Drop failed, she ran off alongside the rest of Neo Zeon's forces. Living in hiding on the Moon, in Granada City for a few months. She eventually retrieved her hidden Mobile Suit and ran off to her 'Guiding Light' once more. This time, flying to Palau.Joining the Sleeves, she continued to pilot the Bawoo, repaired and upgraded by Zeon forces. Here she became known as 'Lieutenant Sputnik' callsign Fleckeri. As tensions rose for the Sleeves, and more and more combat sorties unfolded, her suit was upgraded to a fully unique variant of her own, the AMX-107R Rebawoo 'Sputnik' after earning Full Frontal his favour for being a valueable companion who lives up to her namesake. This earned her full loyalty to the cause.In turn, she too now aims to hunt down 'Laplace's Box', hoping its truths are the key to no one ever going through what she did again, to change the worlds trajectory: A new beginning.

Built off the established research on the ReBawoo, this variant is fully suited to fit Mari her needs. The limiters have been taken off, and it used experimental thrusters in order to obtain high speeds.Additionally, the suit comes with six funnels that can shape the battlefield to her will. Restricting movement through beam fields, she is able to keep a target in her scope right where she wants them. They can also help in taking out incoming projectiles. Their high output sacrifices the maneuverability funnels usually may have.Arsenal:ShieldThough similar in shape to the original Rebawoo's shield, this one lacks the mega particle cannons of the original and instead stores the beam partizan as well as the funnels. When the Rebawoo separates into the Rebawoo Attacker and Rebawoo Nutter, the shield is attached to the underside of the Attacker.Beam PartizanA polearm which can generate high convergence-rate beam blades extending from one end. For a melee weapon, it boasts a broad effective attack range. Generates a beam with a golden glow.Even in Melee Combat, Mari keeps people at a distance.Beam VulcanA pair of beam vulcans are mounted on the inner side of the chest intakes.4-tube Grenade LauncherA 4-tube grenade launcher is mounted on each forearm. Generally used for intimidation or diversionary tactics, a pilot with good aim can use the grenades to destroy specific targets, disable weapons and deal damage in various ways.Machine CannonA pair of machine cannons are mounted in the top of the side skirt armor.Flexible Beam GunAttached to the side of of each leg is a flexible beam gun that position themselves for the Rebawoo Nutter to use.AMM-06H MissileThe Rebawoo can carry three missiles on each flexible wing binders and also three on each side skirt armor, for a total of twelve missiles. The missiles can be used in Rebawoo Attacker mode and MS mode.Beam RifleThe Rebawoo uses the same beam rifle as used by the MSN-06S Sinanju. When the Rebawoo separates into the Rebawoo Attacker and Rebawoo Nutter, the beam rifle is attached to the underside of the Attacker.
